Culinary travel website New Worlder (www.newworlder.com), which covers the cuisines, restaurants, personalities, food initiatives, hotels and cultural intersection of those topics across the Americas, is looking for two (2) PT interns to help with day-to-day administrative editorial needs, blog writing, and social media programming. These are flexible positions that offer insight into the inner workings of an online media publication, as well as the opportunity to secure a byline on relevant blog features.

Day-to-day administrative needs would include maintaining calendars, outreach to publicists, collection of article assets, building out articles in our CMS for publication, and light photo editing. Writing needs would include organizing and writing round-up blogs on new restaurant openings, events, and hotel chatter. Social media needs would include maintaining/programming our three social media accounts -- Facebook, Instagram + Twitter -- via Hootsuite.
Candidates should have an interest and peripheral knowledge of culinary + travel topics throughout the Americas. Spanish-speaking applicants are ideal, but not mandatory. Work can be done remotely, but New York area applicants are preferred. Applicants should be detail-oriented, organized, motivated, possess a college degree, and have writing samples to verify writing ability.
