Job Title: Software Test Analyst I

Job Description: The IQMS Software Test Analyst I evaluates and tests EIQ software applications for usability and functionality. The purpose of this position is to improve and assure the quality of software.

Based on education, experience and knowledge applicable specifically to this area, exercises discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance pertaining to the business operations of IQMS and IQMS customers.

Required Proficiencies, Background & Education:

• Bachelors or technical school degree in accounting/finance or related field, or 2-4 years' equivalent experience in related field recommended
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, including AP, AR, and GL
o Knowledge of payroll, time and attendance, cost accounting, and GAAP is preferred
• Experience working at any level of accounting, from staff and bookkeeping through controller is preferred
• Experience with any accounting software systems is preferred
• Working knowledge of testing concepts and automated testing tools
• Understanding of common programming concepts recommended
• Good trouble shooting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of manufacturing environments and accounting fundamentals recommended
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

• Regression testing of the software using the testing policies
• Test new features and fixes to the software following testing polices to ensure the changes are in the best interest of all customers and the functionality of the software has not been adversely affected by the changes
• Respond to issues reported by other departments
• Troubleshooting issues escalated from Technical Support or Implementation Specialists
• Report software issues to the programmers using the proper guidelines
• Assist Support and Implementation with questions on software operation
• Liaison between users and developers
• Security role management
• Unicode testing
• Crystal Report testing
• Generation and testing of multiple language executables
• Updating test servers and maintaining the integrity of the test servers
• Integrated third party software testing
• Software update instructions
• Documentation review prior to posting for customer access
• Special projects either internal or customer related
• Additional job duties as assigned

This is a full-time salaried position based at our Paso Robles, CA, or Dublin/Pleasanton, CA office, reporting to a Software Test Manager.
