Front End Developer and Web Designer
We are a startup company getting ready to launch our first web service to the public. Our team is currently looking for a front-end developer and web designer. We already have a graphic design, we just need to put it in place.
You will take care of everything on the front end: from PSD to HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX. The back end is already developed with a bare-bones testing UI. This is a custom framework so you must be happy working in Linux.
Responsibilities:
- Work from existing graphic design in photoshop
- Create HTML, CSS, and images for dynamic web pages
- Identify and integrate jQuery modules with existing graphic design
- Interface and specify server pages for AJAX-style interaction.
Requirements:
- Must be local and resident in San Diego
- 5+ years with webpage design and HTML
- In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, JavaScript
- Familiarity with a LAMP environment development environment
- Experience with PHP
- 2+ years experience with jQuery
- Experience implementing client-side desktop application style UI features: drag-and-drop, multi select, inline editing, sort, filter.
This is a contract position to get us to launch. You will work from your home/office. Additional work may be available to the right candidate.
